MAC Cinderella Collection for Spring 2015

I'm a little late with this post. But I figured I would share it with you anyways :) I feel like these collections really lose momentum after the first weekend that it comes out. But for goodness sake it's only been a few day, so I'm hoping you will still enjoy it.

Like many other makeup fanatics I had to get my hands on some of the stuff from the MAC Cinderella Collection. I was a little skeptical at first because I wasn't very sure if this collection was going to work for my skin tone (with the exception of the eye pallet) but to my surprise everything looks awesome on!

First off I got the beauty powder. "Mystery Princess Beauty Powder" is described as a "pink beige with silver shimmer. I'm not using this as a beauty powder but as a highlight, which by the way shows up amazingly!!!!

For the lips I got "Free as a Butterfly" lipstick and "Happily Ever After" lipglass, and this is a pink tone lip gloss with a bluish pearl tint.

Last but not least I got the "Stroke of Midnight" palette.

I am seriously loving everything I got from this collection! I'll also do a look featuring all of these, to show how they look on my skin tone!

Did you get anything from this collection? What was your favorite product?

   Let's stay in touch!

MAC Cinderella Collection

OMG!!!!!! I'm sure you've heard about it but I wanted to share it anyways. MAC is coming out with a Cinderella collection. I've been super excited since I heard about the collection! The whole collection is awesome. From the pretty packaging to the products itself. I love it all. The pigments are super beautiful and so are the eye gloss (which would work perfectly for the glossy eyes and skin trend seen on my last post).

The peachy beauty powder would make for an awesome highlight for brown girls like myself. The lipstick however will need some working with, (I got Royal Ball, which looked peachy but I was deceived lol)  it's way too light for women of color if worn on its own. So I'll need to add a lip liner to see if I can wear this guy.

How to Achieve Soft Smokey Eyes with Pink Lips

pink nouveau lipstick soft smokey eyes

I haven't worn this lipstick in a very long. It used to be one of my all time favorite colors. I have a couple of other posts you can check out with me wearing it here and here. I love this lipstick because I can use it when I have bolder eyes or something softer. Either way it always looks great. And even though it seems like such a bright color on the stick, it actually works out very well for my skin tone.

Be.YOU.tiful

Random selfie of the day. I couldn't do anything really cool with it so this is what became of the raw image.
We got snowed on pretty good yesterday here in MN. So with super cold weather and snow everywhere, it's only natural that I would spend sometime taking pictures of myself lol. Plus like I've said before I need to explore all that my camera can do.
This is also a way for me to keep track of my weight loss journey. So far I can see a huge difference! Not only in the way I look but also on the way I feel. And that's what's more important to me.

It's a Wet N' Wild Kind of Day

In today's post I bring you a look created using Wet N' Wild's palette Blue Had Me At Hello. It has some beautiful colors, mostly blues, black and grey. I love this palette. The colors are so pigmented and VIBRANT! Wet N' Wild has definetely stepped up their game when it comes to the quality of their products. Now we can create beautiful looks for a littler over $5. There are other pallets as well and they are  just as gorgeous!

The only colors I used in this look that were not from the pallet were MAC Rice Paper and a bronzer to help me blend my crease. On the lips I am wearing Wet N' Wild matte lipstick in 902C. The blush I'm wearing is MAC Breezy.

So what do you think of this look? I actually really like. I've been wearing such boring makeup lately, that this has sparked me to do more of them this week :)

MAC Dazzlespheres Collection for Holiday 2011 REVIEW!

Dazzlesphere! Smoky Blue Crushed Metallic Pigment Kit (Limited Edition)

White as Snow Snowy white

Silver Sleet Medium grey

Wintersky Purple blue

Dark Moon Charcoal

In this first look I am wearing Silver Sleet with a little bit of the Dark Moon on the outer corner. On the lips I am wearing MAC's Ruby Woo (my fav red lipstick in the WORLD)

In this look I am wearing Dark Moon over a black creamy jumbo pencil from Wet N' Wild. On the lips I have a neutral lipstick which I do not remember the brand.

In this look I am also wearing Dark moon and on the lips I have Wet N' Wild Just Garnet (552A)

I tried to take pictures of swatches but it wasn't working out so no pics sorry ladies. BUT here is what I think of these lovely pigments:

Absolutely high pigmented (duh they ARE pigments) Let me explain. They glide on so smoothly and effortlessly! They are also super shimmery so if you are trying to go for a more subtle look these are for you. I have to admit that the black one was the hardest one for me to work with. I have to absolutely wear it with a creamy base like the pencil I used and pat it on top of that to get it to work for me.
I have used the purple and it is just as gorgeous as the these two that I have tried and I'm sure the white one will be the same.
Sadly these are limited edition so you won't be able to find them at the stores anymore but I am very glad that my fiance surprised with these for xmas!

Favorite Beauty Product of The Month!

So I wanted to present to you today my favorite product of the month. Ok this wasn't purchased this month but it has become my go-to lipstick. Any look that I have created this color has gone well with it. I know that Nikki Minaj brought on the whole pink lips thing back, but let me tell you now...I totally understand her love for it. This lipstick looks so beautiful with my skin color. During the summer I am a NW45 (MAC color) and I would say I am a shade or two lighter now, and this color is a great accent. This particular lipstick can be very drying to the lips if not used with caution. I usually put on some lip balm before applying it and when on I like to add a dab of Viva Glam I Lady Gaga lip glass. I definitely recommend this lipstick to EVERYBODY.

M.A.C. for X-MAS

So my loving boyfriend decided to get me an early x-mas gift...and since he knows me so well he went to M.A.C. and got me a few things all of which I am in love with...Here are some pics of the lovely products he got me!

Lucky Green and Stars N' Rockets are both sheer while the Atlantic Blue is a matte color meaning there is no shimmer to it. The lipglass and lipstick are also both very beautiful. I have been wanting a pink color lipstick for a while and these are just what I was looking for!

Here are some pics of my latest look using these colors:
