Red Lipstick & Champagne Dreams: SOFT HOLIDAY MAKEUP LOOK

SOFT HOLIDAY MAKEUP LOOK

Hello my good people. Today's post is about the best time of the year....the holidays!!!!! I mean I think most people will agree that this is best time of the year. We get together with family and friends, we eat lots of delicious dishes and treats and sometimes we exchange gifts. It's a special time to show how much we love and appreciate those around us.

With the holidays comes parties and gatherings. So I decided I would share a few options for parties and such. To start off this little holidays series (we'll call it that for now) I went with something more subtle.

I kept the focus on my eyes. Gold goes well with everything and it's perfect for the holiday season. It also works great with brown or darker skin colors. For this look I used pigments. If you are not familiar, pigments are basically eye shadows in a loose powder form. It gives a better color payoff because the shadow is more concentrated.

MAC has been coming out with some amazing pigments sets for their holiday collections these past few years and this year it was no different. I used their Irresistibly Charming pigments and glitter set in gold.

This holiday makeup look is very simple. I decided to not wear eye liner to keep it more subtle. I wanted the colors to stand out on their own. I also added some false lashes to complete everything.

There you have it lovely people, a simple but well put together makeup look for your first holiday party!

  1. Gorgeous holiday look! Love the gold with pale pink lips on you! I don't own a Mac paint pot but since I'm such a big fan of cream shadows, I really need some. Do you ever wear the paint pots on their own as shadow?

  8. I am loving that gold pigment on you! I have never tried loose pigment because I'm scared of fallout, but it is on my to-do list for 2016.

    1. I love pigments because they give me an amazing color pay off. Try wetting your brush a little before you apply the pigment and also make sure to wear a primer :)
