Red Lipstick & Champagne Dreams: Natural Hair Chronicles: Annie Quick Weave by Outre

Natural Hair Chronicles: Annie Quick Weave by Outre

annie half wig outre natural hair

About 4 years ago I decided to go natural. I made the decision only after finding out that I was pregnant. In my mind I didn't want to expose my baby to all of the chemicals, At the time the natural hair "movement" was just starting. So I had little, but enough info on youtube to make my transition as smooth as possible!
I have been natural ever since. I've had my fair share of frustration with my hair, but overall my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. Not gonna lie, sometimes I miss the convenience and easy of permed hair but I know I would be really mad at myself if I went that route again. At least I'm not ready to go back to that right now.

With that being said being natural can make it a little bit more difficult to find protective styling that works with my hair texture without me having to straighten my hair,

While looking on youtube for some hair inspiration, I ran across a couple of videos of Outre's Annie Quick Weave. What I love the most about this unit is the price. You can find it for under $30!!! You can find it on my amazon store HERE. Besides the amazing price this unit also mimics a natural hair blow out perfectly. And the best part is that I don't have to have my hair straight in order to blend in my hair.

I love this hair!!!! I got so many complemnts and it blends in so well that a few people were definitely thinking this was real. And I don't mind that at all! Since it's a half wig, I've worn it with two side twists (you can see it here on my last post) or as a half up bun like I did here. This unit is super versatile.

The downfall of this unit is that it is synthetic and that means that it WILL tangle. Sine the texture is not super straight it gives you a little bit more forgiveness as it tangles but it's not something that will last for a very long time. I would say mine lasted for about two weeks with daily use. And that's because I'm very particular about my hair and I didn't like that it was losing the nice movement from when it was new.

But the solution to this problem is that since this is synthetic hair you can restyle this unit by using some perm rods and dipping it in hot water to create some curls. I'll definitely be trying this with mine.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS UNIT?

  1. I love the look of your hair because it doesn't look "fake nor tacky"...maybe I start with clips and see how that goes before making this big leap!!
